What makes Michael great at his job: Michael graduated from The New School for Social Research in New York City and is an IRS Enrolled Agent - the highest credential the IRS awards. He prioritizes education and having as many tools as possible in the toolbox.
Michael loves people and figuring out what makes each client a unique financial snowflake. That type of intimacy is what allows him to help his clients get to their goals faster.
He walks the walk. Having run Modern Financial Care for the last decade and being the father of a family of four, Michael has valuable perspective on the challenges small business owners face, as well as regular folks and their families.

What makes Marianne great at her job: The rock upon which all was built. Helped her father establish and grow the business and then took over and never looked back.
Marianne has over 50 years of experience and has seen every tax situation imaginable. She has helped thousands of clients do better with the least amount of pain.

Spending with her grandchildren.
Travelling to exotic locations, with beaches.

Ivanilda ‘Iva’ McGovern

What She Really Does: The glue that holds it all together, makes sure every client understands they are part of a family.
What makes Ivanilda great at her job:
Ivanilda has a background in K-12 education, which has honed the skills necessary to run an entire office, keeping both staff and clients organized and in line with a smile or a kick in the rear - whichever is required.
Ivanilda’s demeanor and delightful personality set the tone and in large measure create Modern Financial Care’s intimate family atmosphere.

Extremely family-oriented, Ivanilda loves being with her husband, Michael, their children, and close family friends as much as they can stand.
Enjoys being a teacher in her church's children's school.
A nutrition nut, she loves nothing more than learning about how to eat more healthfully and sustainably.
Being a Brazilian native, Ivanilda has a particular affinity for white sandy beaches with turquoise waters.

Debbie graduated from Pace University with a bachelor’s in business administration and has enjoyed helping businesses in accounting and corporate finance for over 30 years.
Always smiling and patient, she loves getting to know a business and seeing what she can do to improve it.

Debbie is a crafting whiz.
